Our Christian Values
As a Church school we have a distinctive character where Christian values are promoted in all aspects of school life. We encourage all members of the school community to promote a Christian ethos where care and respect is shown to everyone. As a Church school there are strong links with our Parish Church and Dioceses to help support our school and the learning of our children. Our Christian Values shine through in all we do at Baston Church of England Primary School.
At Baston we believe it is important to develop core values which help to develop a moral and spiritual awareness. We continue to build upon these values as we make our journey through school. As part of our daily Collective Worship, we intend to explore our Christian Aalues in more depth and make links to other Christian Values (such as patience, thankfulness, joy, faithfulness, humility and hope). Throughout the week we strive to show and develop each value and in our Friday celebration worship children who have shown a particular value receive a certificate to rejoice in this.
We have chosen 9 values to focus and strengthen our daily lives in school. We share values across our school community because they help us to ‘prepare the way’ for our futures. We use these values to underpin our work so that everyone can thrive.
We have grouped each of our values under our vision drivers:
